Truths of Love (46)

When I become drunk on His wine,

I find freedom from the thought of gain and loss.

Unceasingly I drink the dregs of pain for Him.

My only sorrow is grief caused by Him.

I regard as a godsend

each breath that I remember the Beloved.

Through the Beloved’s attraction and my longing to see Him,

I surrender both worlds to love.

I see that where a trace of “we” and “you” remains

it is to the detriment of love.
